14 January 2026 Delivering positive impact through purposeful action in 2025

2025 was a year of meaningful progress for Oak, driven by positive impact, responsible decision-making and a commitment to people, communities and the environment.

Oaks community

Aligned with the United Nations Global Compact, Oak focused on environmental sustainability, community wellbeing, youth development and inclusion; reflecting a belief that long-term success is rooted in accountability, stewardship and impact-led thinking.

Advancing environmental sustainability

Oak continued to balance its carbon emissions across all jurisdictions through its partnership with Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust’s Rewild Carbon programme. This long-term initiative supports biodiversity restoration, forest regeneration and conservation-led employment.

Oak’s approach went beyond carbon balancing. Measuring emissions and planning reductions helped embed sustainability into everyday decision-making. Oak also supported impact-focused investment through its administration of renewable energy and low-carbon infrastructure strategies, directing capital towards projects with both financial and environmental benefits.

James Tracey, Managing Director of Guernsey Funds, has been a strong advocate for embedding ESG considerations at board level and strengthening long-term responsibility across the business.

“For Oak, ESG is not a separate agenda. It is about how we think, govern and make decisions for the long term. By engaging at board level and continuing to deepen our understanding of sustainability and ESG, we are better placed to act responsibly today while safeguarding the future for our clients, our people and the communities we serve.”

Investing in the next generation

Supporting the development of young people and emerging talent remained an important focus for Oak in 2025, particularly through sport and education.

In Mauritius, Oak continued its support of grassroots youth sport through its sponsorship of FC Tamarin United, a football club serving young people in the Black River region. Oak’s backing helped provide a stable clubhouse and facilities, enabling the club to grow and offer a safe, inclusive environment where young players can build confidence, discipline and a sense of belonging.

In Jersey, Jo Gorrod supported Lily Scott, a Jersey-born athlete, helping her access elite training opportunities in Australia. This support enabled Lily to further develop her potential on an international stage, reflecting Oak’s commitment to backing ambition, dedication and long-term personal development.

Oak sponsored the U18 Men’s and Women’s Guernsey basketball teams as well as the Guernsey Netball Performance Development Programme, designed to help Under 18’s develop their skills, confidence and competitive experience. By backing the programmes, Oak contributed to structured development pathways that encourage young athletes to thrive both on and off the court.

Oak also continued to support education and professional development across its jurisdictions. In the Isle of Man, Oak sponsored the STEP Isle of Man Student Awards, recognising academic excellence among students pursuing trust and estate planning qualifications and encouraging emerging talent within the industry. Long-standing sponsorship of Isle of Man junior hockey squads further demonstrated Oak’s commitment to youth development through sport.

Supporting community wellbeing

Oak’s commitment to community wellbeing was reflected through locally driven initiatives across its global footprint. In Guernsey, Oak supported Project Endure, an ambitious endurance challenge designed to raise awareness of mental health and improve access to support services. By sponsoring part of the challenge, Oak helped amplify vital conversations, address stigma and support efforts to make care more accessible.

Oak’s community impact also extended to The Bahamas, where the business supported charitable initiatives focused on social wellbeing and food security. This included involvement with Bahamas Hands for Hunger through support of the Paradise Plates fundraising event, which brings communities together to raise funds to combat hunger and food insecurity.

Fostering an inclusive culture

In 2025, Oak continued to strengthen its inclusive workplace culture. With women representing over 65 percent of the workforce and holding leadership roles across jurisdictions, Oak remained well ahead of industry norms. This was supported by deliberate efforts to create equitable opportunities, flexible working practices and inclusive leadership pathways.

The internal #BeYourselfAtWork initiative played a central role in promoting wellbeing, connection and authenticity. Shaped by employee feedback, the programme encouraged open dialogue, celebrated individuality and reinforced psychological safety across the business.

Acting with integrity

Underpinning all of Oak’s achievements in 2025 was a strong commitment to ethical governance, transparency and trust. Robust compliance frameworks, ongoing training and clear accountability ensured Oak continued to operate with integrity across all jurisdictions, providing a stable foundation for sustainable growth and long-term relationships.

Looking ahead

From environmental initiatives and community partnerships to youth development and inclusive culture, Oak demonstrated that sustainable success is built through care, responsibility and long-term thinking.

With a continued focus on impact-led decisions and thoughtful stewardship, Oak enters the future well positioned to create enduring value for clients, communities and generations to come.
