Katie Booth has been appointed Group Head of Private Office, leading the strategic development of the group's global private office offering. In this expanded role, Katie brings together Opera’s cross-jurisdictional expertise to deliver an integrated, best-in-class service for clients and their advisers. The private office will focus on governance, complex structuring, succession planning and next-generation stewardship - supporting international families and businesses as they build and protect their legacies.
Katie, who has led the Bahamas business since 2018, will continue to serve on the Oak Bahamas Board. Her new appointment reflects Opera’s confidence in the strength and reputation of its Bahamas leadership team and the growing importance of building a global private office within Opera’s long-term strategy.
As part of this evolution, Fiona Poole joins as Managing Director, Oak Bahamas, pending regulatory approval. Fiona brings extensive experience in private client leadership, governance and cross-jurisdictional business development. She joins from Maurice Turnor Gardner LLP in London, where she was a partner and head of their award-winning private wealth team. A highly respected private client lawyer, she has advised ultra-high-net-worth families, founders and trustees on complex cross-border structures, governance and succession. Her expertise will play a key role in supporting the next phase of growth in the Bahamas.
Fiona will work closely with Cappucienne Richardson, Oak Bahamas Deputy Managing Director, to continue delivering operational excellence and exceptional client service. Together, they bring a powerful combination of technical expertise, cultural understanding and operational excellence, ensuring the Bahamas office continues to deliver the highest levels of personal service, innovation and integrity.
Further demonstrating this momentum, late 2025 saw the addition of three new joiners to the Bahamas team, reflecting the continued expansion and strength of Opera’s presence in the region.
Katie Booth, Group Head of Private Office, added:
“This next chapter for me builds on everything I have achieved to date. The Bahamas will always remain close to my heart and I’ll continue to serve on the board and work closely with our clients and teams. The opportunity now is to invest in what we do best - personal, thoughtful service for complex, international families and founders - and bring that strength to a wider audience through the group's global private office.”
Fiona Poole, Bahamas Managing Director, said:
“I am thrilled to be joining the Bahamas office at such an exciting point in its journey. The Bahamas has a long-established reputation for excellence in private client services and I look forward to working closely with Cap, Katie and the wider team as we continue to grow the business and deepen relationships with clients and advisers across jurisdictions. The group’s values, culture and ambition align perfectly with my own - and I’m excited to contribute to its next chapter.”
Opera’s continued investment in leadership and capability across its jurisdictions demonstrates the strength of its private ownership model, which enables patient capital, sustainable growth and long-term investment in people, clients and innovation.
