About Acquilla

Acquilla has over 25 years’ experience in legal, corporate, trust and compliance. She gained majority of her experience through her employment as Corporate Manager at one of The Bahamas’ leading law firms and 17 years in a boutique law firm where she worked with ultra-high-net-worth clients.

At Oak, she has the responsibility of managing a diverse portfolio of trust clients and corporate structures including foundations as well as a private trust companies. She recently served as a Senior Trust Manager at an International boutique Trust Company with similar responsibilities.  Prior to this role, she served as an Assistant Manager at The Securities Commission of The Bahamas, attached to the Financial & Corporate Service Providers Act (FCSPA) Unit where she gained her regulatory background. All of her experience has provided her with a wealth of knowledge and connections that assist her with providing effective and efficient services not only to Oak, but to the clients.

Acquilla is a qualified Attorney having being called to the Bahamas Bar in November 2013. She is also a member of The Bahamas Bar Association.  Acquilla also holds a Diploma in Trust and Estate Management (STEP) and is a full member of The Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (TEP). 

Outside work

Acquilla enjoys spending time with her family especially her 3 sons, travelling and living a balanced life.  She also believes in making time for herself indulging in spa days and reading.  Her favourite genres are Thrillers, Romance and Historical & Contemporary Fiction.
