About Katie

Katie is Managing Director of Oak’s Bahamas office and plays a key role in shaping the group’s private client services across key international markets.

She has extensive experience advising ultra-high-net-worth families on fiduciary structuring, wealth succession, and family governance, with a particular focus on the design and operation of single-family offices. Katie joined Oak Group in April 2025 following its acquisition of Amber Trust Ltd, where she served as Managing Director and led the firm’s transformation into a specialist provider of high-touch private office services.

Katie began her career as a private client lawyer with Kingsley Napley in London and Graham Thompson in the Bahamas, before moving into senior leadership roles at MeesPierson, NM Rothschild, and Butterfield Bank. At Butterfield, she established the International Private Office in Mayfair, a business dedicated to complex asset structuring for ultra-high-net-worth families with private operating businesses across a wide range of sectors.

She is recognised for her deep technical expertise and commercial insight in the consolidation, preservation, and succession of assets for some of the world’s wealthiest entrepreneurs.

Katie founded the Bahamas branch of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) in the early 1990s, and sat on the Global STEP Council for many years.
