The Bahamas
About Taryn
Taryn is a Senior Trust Officer in Oak’s Bahamas office, where she oversees a portfolio of complex client relationships, including trusts, corporate structures and private trust companies. With nearly two decades of financial services experience, she brings a wealth of knowledge and a meticulous approach to relationship management, financial analysis, investments and regulatory compliance.
Prior to joining Oak (formerly Amber Trust Ltd.) in 2023, she worked in the offshore industry managing portfolios for ultra-high-net-worth clients, with net worths exceeding $1 billion. Before that, she held progressively senior roles at The Central Bank of The Bahamas, the regulator and supervisor of the banking sector in The Bahamas between 2008 and 2017, where she played a key role in supervising financial institutions and shaping policy on prudential risk.
Her career spans across both public and private sectors, underscored by a strong foundation in international business and finance. She served as a Director of the STEP Bahamas Branch from 2019–2024.
Outside of work
Outside the office, Taryn enjoys a balanced life filled with family activities, travel and exploring different cultures—no doubt influenced by her academic background in French.
