September 12, 2022 South Africa Private Wealth Roadshow

We Are Guernsey hosted a private wealth roadshow with a focus on Africa to give further information about how Guernsey solutions may benefit South African clients. 

With a long history of offering specialised wealth management services to affluent clients and their families, the roadshow hosted multiple luncheons and roundtable discussions in Johannesburg and Cape Town. 

Mark Chasey and James Tracey both attended the Roadshow which covered a number of services including: 

• Family office services 
• Managing Guernsey structures 
• The Private Investment Fund 
• Personal pensions and occupational schemes 
• The breadth and depth of wealth and banking services 
• Platform and custody arrangements in Guernsey 

Mark Chasey said: 

“Attending this event has made me realise that promoting Guernsey is very much a team effort and has motivated me to explore what I can do in the future to support that effort, I'm pleased that James and I were able to forge some close relationships, my hope is that this fantastic event is held annually”. 

James Tracey added: 

“The week was extremely beneficial and provided numerous opportunities to meet new people and reconnect with our current contacts. 

It was a pleasure to demonstrate how Guernsey provides a safe, secure, and stable environment for private wealth management and gave me to opportunity to discuss the use of Private Investment Funds as a flexible product with an industry-leading speed to market that supports family office investments.” 

The week concluded with a business networking dinner and fundraiser for CoolPlay, a sport-based youth development programme that provides a safe space for children ages 5 to 18 to play sports after school. We were proud to sponsor this event, which raised over R300,000 for CoolPlay.
